CADPen – Projects & Use Cases
Fahrzeugteile werden mit dem CADPen direkt am Fahrzeug abgefahren. CADPen Studio baut daraus die 3D-Fläche, wickelt sie zum flachen Schnittmuster ab und zeigt, wo sich die Folie dehnt. Export als DXF oder SVG direkt an den Schneidplotter.
The CADPen allows you to capture vehicle contours and film patterns as clean DXF templates. Contours can be traced directly on the vehicle or on a removed pattern film and then transferred to CAD software or a cutting plotter. This creates reusable templates for vehicle wraps, stickers, and fleet graphics.
Gewölbtes Glas, flache Folie: Die Heckscheibe des Rallyefahrzeugs von Gropp Racing wurde mit dem CADPen erfasst. Daraus entsteht eine 3D-Fläche für CAD oder ein abgewickeltes Schnittmuster für den Plotter.

The CADPen can be used to capture important chassis and frame geometries on racing motorcycles—for example, wheelbase, steering head angle, swingarm length, and other reference points. The exported DXF sketch serves as the basis for CAD, chassis, or kinematic analyses.
