The CADPen is designed for flexible working distances between the camera system and the pen. Depending on the working distance, setup, and calibration quality, typical accuracies range from below 150 µm at close range to below 1000 µm at greater working distances.
You will need a Windows PC with two free USB 3.0 ports or higher, a USB-C power supply, and CAD/CAM software that can process DXF files.
Das Stereo-Kamerasystem blickt in einen kegelförmigen Arbeitsraum nach vorne — typischerweise 1 bis 3 m Abstand, bei geringeren Genauigkeitsanforderungen auch darüber hinaus. Alles, was sich in diesem Raum befindet, lässt sich mit dem CADPen erfassen. Dabei müssen die Kameras ausschließlich die optischen Marken am Stift sehen, nicht die Spitze selbst — so erreichen Sie auch Nuten, Hinterschneidungen und verdeckte Bereiche.
Eine Position genügt, wenn sich Ihr Bauteil aus einer einzigen Aufstellung heraus vollständig abfahren lässt. Das Kamerasystem bleibt auf dem Stativ stehen. Ideal ist das überall dort, wo flach auf einer Fläche gearbeitet wird — etwa am Arbeitstisch beim Abnehmen von Textil- und Materialzuschnitten, bei Schablonen oder bei Dichtungen und Zuschnittkonturen, die ohnehin in einer Ebene liegen. Das Kamerasystem wird einmal ausgerichtet und bleibt den ganzen Arbeitstag stehen.
Mehrere Positionen brauchen Sie, sobald das Objekt größer ist als der Arbeitsraum oder einzelne Geometrien aus einer Perspektive nicht erreichbar sind — etwa Rückseiten, Innenräume oder umlaufende Konturen. Dafür liegen dem Paket magnetische optische Marken bei (Varianten für nichtmagnetische Werkstoffe folgen). Sie verteilen die Marken auf und um das Bauteil und erfassen sie einmalig: Kamerasystem vom Stativ nehmen, die Marken aus mehreren Richtungen aufnehmen — fertig, sobald deren Lage in 3D bekannt ist. Danach stellen Sie das Kamerasystem mit Stativ beliebig um das Objekt herum um. Es orientiert sich selbstständig an den bekannten Marken, sodass alle erfassten Punkte aus allen Positionen in einem einzigen, durchgehenden Koordinatensystem zusammenlaufen.
Die benötigten Marken sind im Lieferumfang dieser Variante enthalten. Zusätzliche Markensätze und Lizenzen können Sie jederzeit nachbestellen — auch der spätere Umstieg von einer auf mehrere Positionen ist so möglich.
