The CADPen is designed for precise point and contour acquisition on edges, corners, and detailed geometries. Use the metal tip for exact contact points or a plastic tip if sensitive surfaces need to be protected.

The CADPen is optically tracked by a camera system. This allows the pen's position in space to be captured — even at larger working distances and with flexible setups.

SOFTWARE
CADPen Studio
CADPen Studio converts captured points and contours into editable CAD geometry. Create 2D and 3D shapes and export the result as a DXF file for your CAD/CAM workflow.
CONTROL
Control remotely via smartphone
Use your smartphone as a remote control via WLAN or hotspot. No app installation is required—simply connect, open the control interface, and capture points directly while working with the pen.
FAQs
The CADPen is designed for flexible working distances between the camera system and the pen. Depending on the working distance, setup, and calibration quality, typical accuracies range from below 150 µm at close range to below 1000 µm at greater working distances.
You will need a Windows PC with two free USB 3.0 ports or higher, a USB-C power supply, and CAD/CAM software that can process DXF files.
The CADPen system comes with a robust transport case and tripod bag for secure storage and easy transport.
